While a lot of giving in the state concentrates around Atlanta, where many Georgia foundations are headquartered, grants for nonprofits in Georgia exist across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While giving has held steady in Georgia in the past decade, foundation grants have not increased much overall since 2013. Despite this, foundations have made $1.4+ billion in grants in 2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/southeast.candid.org\/dashboard\/state\/ga\/year\/2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Candid 2021<\/a>), a decrease overall from the year prior. Position this block high up on the page body. -->\n<div id=\"ipInlineOffer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-container foundation-list gb-block-container\"><div class=\"gb-container-inside\"><div class=\"gb-container-content\">\n<p>Knowledge about giving in Georgia filters through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.philanthropysoutheast.org\/BLOG\/View\/ArticleId\/14742\/11-States-in-11-Months-Southern-Philanthropy-in-Georgia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Philanthropy Southeast<\/a>, the Southeastern Council of Foundations, and the Georgia Grantmakers Alliance, which was a nonpartisan network of Georgia funders who believe that funding should be aligned with \u201crational and equitable state policies can achieve meaningful and lasting impact in Georgia communities (\u2026) with a commitment to racial equity.\u201d Grants for education still dominate the Georgia grantmaking scene \u2014 more than any other focus area combined \u2014 though human services, health, community and economic development, and the environment encompass equally important priority giving areas for foundations in Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Georgia\u2019s top funders are a mix of private, public and community foundations, which maintain it\u2019s grantmaking profile. Major funders in Georgia include those which make grants nationally \u2014 like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insidephilanthropy.com\/grants-w\/robert-w-woodruff-foundation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Robert W. Woodruff Foundation<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.insidephilanthropy.com\/grants-c\/coca-cola-foundation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> The Coca-Cola Foundation, Inc.<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insidephilanthropy.com\/grants-b\/arthur-m-blank-family-foundation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation,<\/a> among others \u2014 as well as major foundations that keep their funding within Georgia like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insidephilanthropy.com\/georgia-grants\/joseph-b-whitehead-foundation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Joseph B.
